    Pedra da Gavea

    Rio de Janeiro´s most famous mountain

    One of Rio´s most beautiful mountains with views as far as the eye can see. It´s intense climb leads people to feel a sense of physical and spiritual accomplishment. It's located about 2 hours up and 1 hour down, Mid-way there is a point will you will be rock scrambling.

    Dois Irmaos

    Two brothers mountain that rests at the sea

    Sitting at the top of Comunidade Vidigal, Dois Irmaos has some of Rio´s most spectacular views imaginable. The climb is moderate with a few points you may have to pass on the rock face. It's a decent preparation for Pedra da Gavea. Here you will see a 360 degree view when on top of Two Brothers mountain. Christ Statue, Sugar loaf and even across the bay to Niteroi.

    Cachoeira do Horto

    A peaceful set of Waterfalls in Tijuca Forest

    Cachoeira do Horto is one of Rio´s most unknown hikes within the City itself although its getting crowded in 2020. Starting near near the enterance of Tijuca National Park, Horto Waterfall in the first among various you can take a refreshing dip. This trail will take your breath away! TIP- If you want an even more private waterfall visit Primates which is hidden just before the Horto hike.

    Dona Marta

    Vista Chinesa gives some of the best views of Rio

    Dona Marta is known to have an amazing view of Sugar Loaf and Christ Statue! The entire South Zone is also visible from Dona Marta. The best part is you don't need to pay 60+ Reais to visit. Less people, lesser traveled and quiet. Lets go see the sunrise and we promise you will never forget this adventure! How to arrive? You can take a Moto Taxi from the Favela, one of three buses which you can find on Moovit or an Uber from the closest Metro (Largo do Machado)

    Pedra Bonita

    an ABSOLUTELY stunning view of of the city

    One of Rio's safest and most accessible mountains, Pedra Bonita also has a great view of Pedra da Gavea. A place to hang out with friends or just relax and enjoy nature. If you pass the trail you can walk to the hand gliding ramp which is only an 5 extra minutes up the steep hill. The trail of Pedra Bonita is easy-moderate, 30 Minutes each way. You can hike this with any family even kids. There is a little cafe near the parking lot however its expensive.

    Pedra do Telegrafo

    Where the famous falling off the cliff picture is taken.

    One of the most unknown now know places in Rio, Pedra do Telegrafo. This hike will be only about 30-40 minutes up and half way you can take the hike to the wild beaches. At Telegrafo there is a man selling the famous Brazilian Acai (Most days). There will also be a person offering photos if you're going alone. The price is not bad if you use the Euro or Dollar.
